The Hampstead is a simple shape done generously. A long top, 4cm thick, rests on two rounded supports, each cut with vertical fluting from floor to top, and a shelf is slung low between them. Nothing is fussy, and the fluting gives a plain, solid form its character.
The engineered-wood frame is finished in a warm rustic brown with a visible linear grain, which suits wood floors, brick, linen and plaster. It brings the weight of a farmhouse piece without the bulk: the whole table is only 30cm deep.
Its product page suggests an entrance, a hallway wall, a living room or behind a sofa. Give the top a lamp and a vase and let the shelf take a basket or two, and the 140cm length holds a pair of lamps if you want symmetry. For placing it behind a sofa, read a console table behind a sofa.
